Tillie

Pig
Tillie was found running around in a residential development in Boca Raton, Florida — everyone was terrified of her and trappers were called in to catch her. All Creatures was called and we were told that the pig would be put down if we didn't take her! Tillie was extremely scared and very skinny when she first got to the sanctuary, but also really big! She was at the Sanctuary for about two hours when Tina approached her cautiously only to find that Tillie was extremely sweet and affectionate. She now loves to go for walks with Tina and wallow in the pond to keep cool. She can often be found lounging like a capsized ship under the palm fronds. She also loves to hang out with the dogs and beg for dog biscuits and carrots — and is the most smiley pig at the sanctuary.

Babe

Pig
Babe was left orphaned in Georgia when her mother was killed. Some good people saw Babe and her siblings running around their dead mother and tried to save them, but she was the only one they could catch. They brought her back to Florida and tried to raise her, but she just got to be too much for them to handle — she weighs in at over 600 pounds. All Creatures Sanctuary was contacted, took in the big pig and named her Babe. She is not overly friendly with other pigs. Therefore, she has her own big paddock where she happily roots for treats and splashes in her pond. She loves getting scratches and rubs at mealtime, and yelling impatiently and stamping her feet when she is hungry. She is an independent girl — she definitely likes to do her own thing.
