Daisy

Pig
Daisy was brought to the sanctuary because she had behavioral problems. She was biting everyone and no one knew what to do about it and no one wanted her. She is now a "house pig," is housebroken, sits on command and follows Tina everywhere. Her biggest fan is Casey, Tina’s young granddaughter, who walks her on a leash and harness and lavishes her with hugs. Daisy is a perfect example of how "fad pets" can become a problem behaviorally when they are not trained and cared for properly. Like many animals, pigs are extremely intelligent and become frustrated when they cannot communicate their needs. Daisy is now a happy girl!

Stripe

Pig
Stripe was discovered living in the woods, next to a major very busy road. Some kind people starting feeding him and called All Creatures Sanctuary when they noticed that several men on four wheelers were chasing him and trying to catch him. (Chasing and stabbing/killing of wild pigs in the Florida swamps is a popular pastime for some.) The Good Samaritans figured this pig would either end up running terrified onto the road and being hit by a car, or meet another brutal fate, ultimately winding up on a dinner table. So they set out to catch him and bring him to All Creatures. Stripe now spends most of his time getting acclimated to his new, peaceful surroundings and meeting his new friends. He still hides a lot, and will start to cry when anyone raises their voice to call one of the dogs.
