Pigeons One of the two resident pigeons flew into the barn one day when Tina was doing her rounds and feeding the animals. He only had one leg, and kept falling when he tried to land. It appeared that he had been injured by a hawk or other predator, and seemed to know that the sanctuary was a safe haven. The other pigeon was rescued when his mate was run over on the road, right in front of Tina. The pigeons now live together in a large, free-flight cage. They have become an inseparable pair.
