Exotic Birds

Peacock
The peacocks came to live at the sanctuary after their mother was shot to death by a sheriff's deputy in the town of Atlantis, FL. There was a huge outcry in the town afterward because Atlantis was a bird sanctuary and most of the residents loved having the peacocks — but when a couple of wealthy residents complained, the police officer shot her. All of the local news stations covered the story because the babies were orphaned. All Creatures offered to rescue them, and they have been at the sanctuary ever since.

Poo, a cockatiel, was found on the back porch one morning, shivering and very skinny. We believe he must have been a pet that got lost and somehow knew to come to the sanctuary!

Lorie
Roo, the Lorie, came to the sanctuary because she was no longer wanted by her owner. She was biting everyone, and plucking out all of her feathers in reaction to stress. An exceptionally bright and colorful bird, Roo talks incessantly and mimics the other animals at the farm. She "meows," "woofs," "moos" and "oinks," and makes visitors laugh with her impersonations.

Sennie, a parrot, was brought to the sanctuary after her owner died. Sennie also talks and mimics, and is exceptionally bright.
