The Animals

All Creatures Sanctuary is currently home to more than 70 animals, including:

We most recently took in a litter of kittens that had been abandoned by their mother. Also recently taken in was a mixed-breed puppy named Dancer. She was given to us by a woman who found her running around in a junkyard.

All of the animals find a comfortable place for themselves and the other animal residents are here to help them feel right at home. We believe in giving the animals the time and space they need to adjust and settle in. In our experience, even the the most fearful and undersocialized animal will soon be interacting and making friends with our other animal residents.

It is truly wonderful to watch an animal being welcomed in by the other residents and begin to trust, and then to frolic, probably for the first time ever. We are continually awed by the progress and amazing spirits of our animals.

Our animals teach us so much about trust and forgiveness and that true joy comes from the simple things in life that so many of us take for granted.

We are honored that these creatures are in our care, and we have made a commitment to them to do everything in our power to help them thrive and live a happy and peaceful existence.
